The application of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Association of Denver, Colo, for the establishment of a sanitarium near Goshen. N. Y. for the treatment of tuberculosis was denied by the State Roard of Charities.
Some time ago the association purchased a valuable property a short distance from the village. expecting to obtain permission for the establishment of a large institution. The movement was opposed by the village and town authorities, and the State Board, to which the final appeal was made, has sustained the objectors.
The latter contended that such an institution should be established at places where there are others of a like character. including Liberty. Saranag Lake and Otisville.
