A Peronist member of the Argentine Parliament read a letter here today from Peron, in which the former Argentine dictator described Zionism as “one of the greatest internationals which dominate the world at this moment.”
The deputy, Juan Cornejo Linares, rocked Argentine Jewry earlier this year by presenting to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies a proposal for an “investigation” of Zionist activities in Argentina couched in terms which Jewish leaders called openly anti-Semitic. The proposal has never been acted on.
Linares read the letter from Peron at a press conference at which he was accompanied by Pedro Alvaro Andrade Arregui, head of the pro-Nazi National Revolutionary movement of Uruguay. Linares had sent Peron a copy of his new book, “The New Zionist Order in Argentina.”
In his letter, Peron wrote: “The subject is exciting because it uncovers one of the greatest internationals which dominate the world at this moment and against which seem to react decidedly all really free men who do not want to mortgage their peoples under the yoke of the great occult powers of ignominy.”
