President Juan Peron sent Rosh Hashanah greetings to the 400,000 Jews of Argentina today in a message issued through the pro-Peronist Organizacion Israelita Argentina.
It is a “special pleasure to express my affectionate greetings to all members of this great family whose laudable collaboration contributes to the well being and felicity” of the Argentine people, the President’s message declared. He added that the Jewish people also contributed to the “grandeur and prosperity of this nation.”
