President Juan Peron this week-end received Sir Henry Avigdor Goldsmid, president of the Jewish Colonization Association, and Victor Gormounsky, JCA general director.
After the audience, Sir Henry told a press conference that the President was well informed on the JCA colonies and that he appreciates the JCA settlements which he thinks are exactly right for Argentina and has offered to aid and facilitate JCA work here in every way. Sir Henry, the first JCA president to come to Argentina to inspect the colonies, said he was “moved” by Gen. Peron’s “attitude toward our brethren generally.”
