The British press today reports that a petition is being circulated here to demand the resignation of all Jewish members of Parliament and to bar them as candidates in future elections.
Police last night halted a public meeting of the pro-fascist British League of ex-Servicemen in the Willesdon district of London after the audience overturned the speakers’ platform. At a meeting in Chelsea called to protest the hanging of two British soldiers in Palestine members of the audience objected to the anti-Jewish speeches of the speakers, officers of the right-wing “Face Facts Association.”
Meanwhile, a left-wing group opened a week-long campaign to fight fascism and anti-Semitism with a parade through the predominantly Jewish-populated East End of London. Members carried placards condemning the recent anti-Jewish riots.
