Haya de la Torre, leader of the Apra party, largest party in Peru, has expressed complete sympathy with Jewish aims in Palestine in an article in the magazine Zion.
“The Jewish people needs a free national home, “he said. “Peru and the rest of Latin America should support Jewish aims for the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine.” He declared that anti-Semitism can find no roots in the Americas.
