Governor John S. Fisher has awarded to Peter Glick, Pittsburgh attorney, the portfolio of secretary of labor and industry, in the state executive’s cabinet.
Peter Glick was born in Pittsburgh, May 30, 1889. He received his degree of bachelor of laws at the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Glick is a trustee of Rodef Shalom Temple, and first vice-president of the Hebrew Institute of Pittsburgh. He was chairman for Western Pennsylvania in the 1920 national Jewish Relief drive.
He has been active in politics, and was chosen in 1927 to direct the primary campaign of the four senior judges, headed by Judge Josiah Cohen.
A curative workshop for cripples endowed for $100,000 in the will of the late Milton L. Hartman, Chicago furniture merchant, will be opened in the Michael Reese hospital within two months under the direction of Dr. John L. Coulter and Dr. D. H. Levinthal, both of the Northwestern university medical school.
