Establishment of a unit of communal leaders who will serve as a panel of arbitrators for the Conciliation and Arbitration Service here was announced yesterday by Murray H. Shusterman, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Philadelphia. The panel consists of 29 Jewish leaders in the communal, religious, educational, labor and professional fields in this city.
The new service, said Mr. Shusterman, was being made available to individuals, organizations and institutions in the Jewish community to bring about amicable adjustments in disputes or misunderstandings, where the interest of the Jewish community or details of religious life are concerned. Members of the panel, he stated, will be able to apply to disputes an insight which a non-Jewish court might find it difficult to achieve.
