Philadelphia Jewish Teacher Leaves $132, 466 to Israel Medical Center

The new Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center in Ein Karem, Israel, has received a bequest of $132,466 from the will of Miss Miriam Chesney, a Jewish schoolteacher who died last year, it was reported here today.

The bequest, a check for which has already been turned over to the Philadelphia chapter of Hadassah, will be used to endow a portion of the hospital in memory of Miss Chesney’s parents, Abraham Mordecai and Dena Grupp Chesney.
