Solomon Solis Cohen, member of the Philadelphia Board of Education today declared that the story concerning discrimination against Jews by the Board of Education is untrue. According to Mr. Cohen, Franklin G. Connor, who is alleged to have made the charge denied having said anything of the sort.
Mr. Connor, director of the Civil Works Administration bureau is alleged to have declared that when his bureau recommended qualified unemployed individuals for posts with the Board of Education they were refused employment unless they were of English or Irish origin.
