Approximately $100,000 representing a fourth of the city’s quota was subscribed at the opening dinner here of the Allied Jewish Campaign. Nearly 500 men and women representing all elements in the community attended and pledged themselves to work an entire week to put the campaign over.
David M. Bressler, one of the national co-chairmen, delivered the principal address in which he reviewed the condition of the Jewish people in various parts of the world. Congressman Benjamin M. Golder, local campaign chairman, presided.
