A group of eight Philadelphia teen-agers–four boys and four girls–were convicted of charges of hooliganism against a group of Jewish girls. The ringleader of the hoodlums, aged 16, was sentenced to a term in the reformatory while a 15-year-old member of the gang was placed on probation. The assaults on the Jewish girls took place in the south Philadelphia section of the city, which is heavily populated by Jews.
