Philanthropist Charles Bronfman was named to the top volunteer post of American Jewry’s new central fund-raising establishment. Meanwhile, American federations are being asked to consider possible names for the new fund-raising group, formed by the merger of the Council of Jewish Federations, the United Jewish Appeal and the United Israel Appeal.
