Funeral services were held yesterday for Henry Kahn, 74, philanthropist and founder and president of the Kahn Tailoring Company, who died here after a year’s illness.
Born in Bloomington, Ind., Mr. Kahn attended Butler College. In 1886 he founded the tailoring company. It has grown until it is one of the largest concerns of its kind.
He was a trustee of Butler University and of the Citizens’ Gas Company, and a member of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, the B’nai B’rith and the Kirshbaum Community Center.
