Philip Halsmann quietly received the news of the verdict refusing to set aside the murder verdict against him. He was informed of the court’s action through Advocate Pessler. Halsmann declared that despite the court’s action he is “still not a murderer.”

Pessler is awaiting the return of other counsel to consult with them as to the possibility of transferring Halsmann to a hospital, or perhaps secure a pardon, something which Halsmann emphatically declines.

It is also reported that new facts have been lately uncovered in Press-burger which may make it possible to secure an entirely new trial.
