One hundred and fifty physicians coming from different countries, arrived here on an excursion organized by the Croissiere Bruxelles Medical. A tea in their honor was given by the Jewish Physicians Association.

One hundred Egyptian teachers will arrive here on April 12 to return the visit paid by the Hebrew teachers to Egypt during March. Two representatives of the Minister of Education will accompany the visitors. An extensive program is planned for the Egyptian teachers who will visit the Hebrew schools in the Valley of Jezreel. Three banquets will be given in their honor in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa.

Mayor Dever of Chicago, appointed a group of 200 prominent citizens to serve on the Chicago Centennial Committee which will set into motion the necessary arrangements for the world’s fair in honor of Chicago’s one hundredth anniversary as a city. The following Jewish citizens are among those appointed:

Joseph Byfield, General Abel Davis, Louis Eckstein, Oscar G. Foreman. Major General Milton J. Foreman, M. E. Greenebaum, Judge Henry Horner, Max Hart, John Hertz, Max Klee. Rabbi Gerson B. Levi, H. L. Meites, Robert Mandel, Mrs. Moses L. Furvin, Julius Rosenwald, Lessing Rosenthal and J. Harry Selz.

Jewish artists from all parts of the United States and many foreign countries will be represented in the exhibition to be held by the Jewish Womens’ Art Club at the Jewish People’s Institute in Chicago, from April 20 to April 30.

The entire exposition of work by painters and sculptors of the Hebrew race, now being shown in Detroit, will be brought to Chicago by the club for this exhibition.

More than two hundred works of art are being brought from Detroit. In view of the recent assertion by internationally famous critics that a Jewish art does not exist, the exposition assumes added interest.
