The Pica, Palestine colonization agency created by Baron Edmund de Rothschild and his son James Rothschild, plans an extension of its colonization work in the country, it is stated here on good authority.

The new development is to be carried out near Hedera, where new colonies are to be established. A sum running into many thousands of pounds has already been alloted for this purpose. The amount of £2,200 for the erection of synagogues in the old Rothschild colonies has also been allocated. Suitable sites for the erection of synagous have been purchased. The model synagogue to be erected will be in the colony Benyamina.

It was also learned that the Alliance Israelite Universelle has decided to expand its network of schools in Palestine. An amount of £3,000 has been allocated for this purpose by the organization.
