A committee to handle local preparations for the World Jewish Congress scheduled for next Summer was formed here at a meeting of delegates representing a number of Jewish organizations and institutions.
Israel Efroykin, member of the Paris World Congress Committee, addressed the delegates who chose the committee. The committee consists of one representative from each Jewish organization or institution in favor of the Congress. An executive committee will be chosen from the larger group. Such organizations as may decide to join the Congress movement later will be permitted to send a delegate each to the large committee, provided they do so before elections are held.
Zionists of all Groups, from Revisionists to Laborites, are as yet the only ones supporting the World Congress.
