The suicide of Prof. Maurizio Pincherle, 60 prominent Italian Jewish child specialist, was reported today from Rome. Dr. Pincherle, of the University of Bologna faculty, had recently been ousted from his post as director of the children’s clinic in Bologna, in conformity with Italy’s new anti-Jewish policies. He was well known throughout Europe for his studies of children’s diseases.
