Pinhas Rashish, deputy mayor of the town of Petach Tikvah was elected mayor today following the resignation of Mayor I. Krousmann. Earlier this year, Mr. Rashish, a Mapai leader, was elected mayor but on an appeal to the Supreme Court the election was declared invalid. Subsequently. Mr. Krousman, a Labor Mizrachist, was elected with the support of the Mapai.
