The struggle to overcome the alarming gap within Israel society will be the focus of activities of Pioneer Women during 1973, according to their national president, Esther Zackler, who recently returned from a survey trip to Israel. She reported that a new program will drastically increase child care facilities for working mothers as a means of raising the standards of deprived families from all parts of the country. Within the coming year at least 30 new nursery centers to accommodate 2000 additional pre-school children of working mothers will be in operation.
