A two-year $2,000,000 goal for social welfare and educational services in Israel and a five-year $1,000,000 building fund were approved today by the 16th biennial convention of Pioneer Women, the women’s Labor Zionist organization.
The building fund will permit extension of facilities through Israel, especially in the new immigrant settlements. Three projects were undertaken: a vocational school for girls at Beersheba: a home economics school at Nachlat Yehuda; and acquisition of buildings in Haifa for home economics courses.
