In connection with a scheme specially devised by the National Fund Bequest Department, known as the “Living Legacy,” Mrs. Henrietta Diamond of Leeds has made a contribution of $5,000 to the Fund. By this scheme friends of Palestine are enabled to anticipate the bequest they wish to make to the Jewish National Fund in a manner which prevents them losing the income of their capital.
Mrs. Diamond, who is a well known Zionist worker, having joined the movement in Herzl’s days, explains that she was moved to give the sum of $5,000 to the Jewish National Fund as much in response to the attack made on it in the White Paper as in continuation of the Zionist work in which she has been engaged for years.
