The fiftieth anniversary of the Katowice conference, at which the Choveve Zion, pioneer Zionist group, was founded, was celebrated here at a mass meeting called by the Brith Harishonim, pioneer Jewish settlers in Palestine. The guest of honor was R. Zerach Barnett, a Palestine resident and one of the organizers of the Kattowice conference.
Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the World Zionist Organization, and Menachem Mendel Ussishkin, veteran Zionist leader, praised the Choveve Zion group.
