Prof. I. A. Abrams, head of the Pittsburgh Hebrew Institute, has been named a member of the executive committee of the National Conference of Jewish Education.
Adrian F. Sanderbeck of Pittsburgh has been appointed a member of the Pennsylvania State Board for the examination of public accounts by Governor George H. Earle.
Dr. Henry W. Salus, Jewish and medical leader in Johnstown, Pa., has been presented with a bronze placque by the Johnstown Citizens’ Council in recognition of his courage and leadership. A new hospital in the city was constructed solely through the efforts of Dr. Salus. Rabbi Abram M. Granowitz was the principal speaker at the ceremonies.
