Pittsburgh Federation Reports Raising $1, 551, 178; Closes 1964 Drive

The United Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh closed its 1964 campaign last night with a total of $1, 551,178 an amount in excess of the total $1, 543, 872 raised in 1963.

General campaign chairman Leonard H. Rudolph, in addressing the assembled 250 campaign workers at the finale held at the Green Oaks Country Club, congratulated them for helping Pittsburgh become the first major city in the United States to finish its campaign with an increase over last year’s achievements.

You have successfully inaugurated new campaign methods and techniques,” he said, “which will set the pattern for years to come. ” Robert I. Hiller is executive director of the UJF and James D. Bronner served as campaign director.
