A goal of $2, 070, 000–a half-million dollars above the total amounts raised in the 1962 drive–has been set here for the 1963 campaign of the United Jewish Federation. Alvin Rogal, general chairman of the campaign, said, in announcing the increased quota, that the higher sum was “dictated by the unusual situation overseas” as well as by the need for expansion of UJF-supported services at home.
