Representatives from the American Jewish Congress and the Zionist Organization of America met yesterday to consider a plan for the calling of a nation-wide Jewish Conference to discuss and consider the problems arising out of the recent occurrences in Palestine.
The American Jewish Congress having taken action favorable to such a conference at the meeting of the Administrative Committee Tuesday evening, and a resolution adopted recommending that the conference be called by the Jewish Agency, a special committee was designated to confer on the subject with the officers of the Zionist Organization of America.
Recent occurrences in Palestine and conditions affecting the Jews of Eastern Europe will be discussed at the special conference of the American Jewish Congress, which is to be held Sunday afternoon. September 22, at 2:30, at the Hotel Pennsylvania, and which it is expected will be attended by executive members and delegates from several Eastern states.
