The mayor of Warsaw, in a statement to the press today, announced that the municipal subsidies granted to the Jewish schools will be further reduced.

The educational committee of the Polish parliament today rejected the Jewish proposal to introduce the Hebrew and Yiddish languages into government schools attended by a large number of Jewish students.

The proposal was rejected by a majority of votes of deputies belonging to the pro-government party and to the anti-Semitic National Democratic party.
