Plans for staging the epic pageant entitled “Romance of a People” and for bringing 100,000 Jews to Chicago Soldier Field to witness it are going forward rapidly, according to information given by the committee in charge of the “Jewish Day” celebration to be staged in “A Century of Progress” grounds in Chicago on July 3.
Dr. Chaim Weizmann, noted Zionist leader, will participate in the opening of the celebration of Jewish Day.
The attendance will be enhanced by many Jewish organizations that plan to hold their annual covenntions in Chicago on the same date as the pageant so that their delegates may attend both events. These meetings and conventions will bring noted leaders of Jewry from all over the world.
