Plans for encouraging the export of “Tozeret Hayishuv” the products of Jewish Palestine, were discussed by a committee of the Urban Colonization Department of the Palestine Zionist Executive at two meeting held during the month of December. A sub-committee has been appointed to submit detailed proposals for the execution of the proposed plans.
The quota of $2,500 in a combined campaign in Plymouth, Pa., for the United Palestine Appeal and United Jewish Campaign, was oversubscribed by more than twice that amount, $5,400 having been raised.

Ground was broken Sunday for the addition to the Jewish Hospital in Philadelphia, to be erected at a cost of $750,000. It is the first time since 1889 that any improvements in the institution are to be made with funds supplied by the Jewish community, The money for the new building is contributed by the Federation of Jewish Charities from the four million dollar building fund raised last year.
The principal speakers of the occasion were Mr. Arthur A. Fleisher, President of the in stitution and Judge Horace Stern, President of the Federation of Jewish Charities.
The National Meeting of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society of America will be held at the Hotel Astor, New York City, on Sunday, March 13th. Reports will be rendered covering the organization’s activities during the past year. The present Jewish emigration situation in Europe will be considered.
