A conference of all Scandinavian Zionist organizations will be held in Goeteborg, Sweden, early in July, to form a united Scandinavian Zionist Organization embracing Sweden, Norway and Denmark, it was announced here today.
Interest in Palestine among the Jews in the Scandinavian countries has been spurred by the recent visit in Palestine of the Swedish Crown Prince, as well as by the visits of many outstanding Scandinavian Jews.
A group is now planning establishment of an investment concern to raise capital for investment in Palestine projects. This organization will probably be brought into final shape at the July conference.
The sum of 100,000 kroner has already been underwritten by several of the persons interested in the project and this capital is expected to be increased considerably after the official announcement is made.
The society will then send one or two representatives to Palestine to study the best investment possibilities.
The Berlin correspondent of the Berlingske Tidende states that there is a new anti-Semitic wave in Germany. There is no doubt, he writes, that wide circles of the German people are under the influence of the systematic incitement making efforts to push the Jews out of their last economic positions.
The correspondent goes on to describe the activity of Julius Streicher and his Stuermer publication, which will shortly be transferred to Berlin, he says.
