Planes spraying chemicals assisted labor gangs on the ground today as they continued to fight an invasion of yellow locusts which began shortly before Passover. Swarms of the yellow insects swept into Israel in the Beersheba region. Their arrival was also reported in the Jordan Valley and at Ein Gedi on the Dead Sea.
