Plans for a drive to raise funds for the relief of Jews in Germany, Eastern Europe and Palestine were formulated at a meeting of fifty leaders of Jewish organizations here. It will be part of the $3,000,000 national campaign of the United Jewish Appeal.
Early September was tentatively chosen as the time for the drive. No quota has been set yet. A.L. Saltzenstein, communal leader, active in many local charitable efforts, was chosen chairman of the campaign, and Aaron Scheinfeld was named secretary.
