The Jewish Agency executive will open its plenary session here on Wednesday with the participation of its members from the United States. It will be followed by a session of the World Zionist Actions Committee at which election of new members of the Agency’s executive and the co-opting of members who do not belong to the Zionist movement will take place.
Yaacov Tsur, chairman of the Actions Committee, said today that four or five North Americans and two or three West Europeans will be co-opted along with one non-party Sephardi member and a representative of the Women’s International Zionist Organization, the latter without any voting rights.
The Actions Committee, he said, will also elect a president of the Congress court and a Zionist organization lawyer replacing Israel Supreme Court President, Justice Shimon Agranat, and Pinhas Rosen, member of the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, who have resigned from their respective posts.
