On the ground that he did not learn until 1933 that his wife, whom he married in 1927, was Jewish, an “Aryan” was granted a “racial divorce” by the provincial court here yesterday.
This is the second “racial divorce” in the Reich. The court admitted as further grounds for divorce the plea that “in the present day race and personal quality are of peculiar significance, character and nature being largely dependent upon race and blood. A marriage of an Aryan and a non-Aryan is hybrid and must be regarded as interior, leading to tragedy.”
