Germans living in foreign countries today were pledged to loyalty to Chancellor Adolf Hitler at the annual Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg.
The pledge was given in their behalf by Herr Bohle, head of the department of Nazi foreign organizations, who promised in addition that every German residing abroad would observe the Nazi racial principles.
“Germans who fail to observe the principle of blood and of race aren’t Germans,” he declared.
Dr. Robert Ley, head of the Nazi Labor Front, told the delegates to the Congress that the speeches by Chancellor Hitler and Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels must remove doubts from the minds of “hesitaters” with regard to the fight against Jews. He said the speeches clearly establish that the campaign against Jews must continue unabated.
Today’s newspapers gave prominent display to the anti-Jewish addresses that have featured the Congress so far. The Voelkischer Beobachter, chief organ of the Nazi Party, declared in an editorial on the “revelations” by Chancellor Hitler of the Jews’ “heinousness” that “the world now realizes why Jewish agents provocateurs conduct a boycott propaganda against Germany the world over.”
German-Jewish newspapers make no comment on the Congress.
