West Berlin Mayor Willy Brandt in a meeting this morning with Adolph Held, national chairman of the Jewish Labor Committee, issued the following statement with regard to anti-Semitism in Germany:

“I welcome this opportunity through my good friends, the Jewish Labor Committee, to reiterate my determination that any and all manifestations of an anti-Semitic character will be rooted out of German life. Not only will anti-Semitism never again become an integral part of official German life, but our citizens and their posterity must always be aware of the horrors perpetrated by the criminals who controlled the Third Reich.”
