The new pneumonia serum developed by medical scientists working at Harlem Hospital New York, financed by Lucius N. Littaner, philanthropist, who recently created a $1,000,000 foundation for the welfare of humanity, will soon be used as commonly as antitoxins, declared Dr. S. A. Brown of New York University before be sailed for Europe on the steamer Paris.
Dr. Brown said the experiments were being conducted by Drs. William H. Park and J. G. M. Bullowa. It is expected that within a year the serum will be perfected to a form suitable for commercial purposes. He further stated that he understands the city has appropriated $10,000 for the manufacture of the serum.
