A resolution for consideration at the 48th annual conference of the British Labor Party-which will be held in Black pool June 6-10 was submitted today by the British Poale Zion Party urging the British Government to extend full diplomatic recognition to Israel “now that Israel has found a place among the family of nations.”
The resolution pointed out that such action would moan “taking an important step towards the reestablishment of friendly relations between the Israeli and (British) labor movements.” The resolution also welcomed the victory of the Mapai Party in the recent Israeli elections and urged “international assistance for Jewish reconstruction for the benefit of Middle East development.”
