The closing of several Jewish cultural organizations in various parts of the country by the authorities was reported here today. The Jewish Culture League and the “Morgenstern” educational society were padlocked in Kaluszin, in the Warsaw province.
In Siedlce, Jewish Socialist clubs and a library owned by labor Zionists and named after I.L. Peretz, the Yiddish writer, were closed. Peretz libraries were also closed on Wolomin and Powanski, Warsaw province.
