Poland Decides for Calendar Reform: Representatives of Jewish Communities and Merchants’ Organisatio

The first conference on the projected calendar reform project which has been held in Poland, called together on the initiative of the Government, with representatives attending from all the Ministries, all the religious communities and scientific and economic institutions, has decided by a majority of votes in favour of calendar reform, against the vehement opposition of the representatives of the Jewish communities and the Jewish Merchants’ Organisations.
