A resolution condemning the Polish Government for “ignominiously surrendering to the forces of anarchy and mob violence” was adopted yesterday at the 28th annual convention of the Federation of Polish Jews in America.
Benjamin Winter was re-elected president of the federation and Jacob Leichtman was named vice-president. Other officers remain the same. Two delegates were elected to the World Jewish Congress.
The convention, in another resolution, protested the verdicts of the Radom District Court in the Przytyk riot case, terming the decision “disgraceful” and “an invitation to pogroms.”
Speakers at a banquet last night were I. M. Turkow and M. Neiman, visiting Warsaw Jewish journalists, and Abraham Goldberg, Zionist leader. Mr. Goldberg urged support for Polish Jewish cultural activities to preserve the Polish Jews’ morale. He demanded vigorous political action in this country to aid the Jews in Poland.

A story in yesterday’s despatches from Jerusalem attributed to the Agudath Israel a statement that it was not contributing to Zionist funds. This statement was not made by the Agudah but by the Jewish National Council and given as reason for the council’s refusal to join the Agudah in a united fund appeal for sufferers from recent Palestine disorders.
