Poland is rejecting the validity of lawsuits recently filed in the United States for the return of property seized from Polish Jews after World War II. Such suits should be filed in Poland, a Polish government lawyer said last week. A spokesman for the Polish government added that the lawsuits were “unprecedented slander” by “making Poland responsible in the same way as Nazi Germany.”
