A plebiscite on the question; what is to become of the Republic of Poland and whether it is not to be substituted by a kingdom, is now a popular issue in the country.
The “Glos Monarchisty,” the organ of the Polish monarchists, states that the Council of the Monarchist Peasants Party decided to urge the holding of a plebiscite on the question, a monarchy or a republic? The semi-official Osta news agency states that aristocratic and conservative Polish circles support the plebiscite movement.
The question of a monarchy in Poland has been given greater impetus lately when the name of Josef Pilsudski was connected with the plan. Rumors to that effect spread following Marshal Pilsudski’s attendance at a monarchists banquet given at the Radziwill Palace at Nieswiez.
Mrs. Julius Klein, wife of the president of the Credit Bank, of Budapest, will be the guest tomorrow of the National Farm School near Doylestown, Pa., it was announced by Herbert D. Allman, president of the school. Mrs. Klein, who is president of the Jewish Farm School of Hungary, has come to this country for the purpose of studying the methods of the National Farm Schools.
