Poland Offers Paris Plan for Madagascar Colonization

PROPOSALS TO COLONIZE EMIGRANTS FROM POLAND IN MADAGASCAR, FRENCH COLONY OFF THE SOUTHEAST COAST OF AFRICA, HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO FRENCH COLONIAL MINISTER MARIUS MOUTET IN PARIS, IT WAS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED HERE TODAY. THE PROPOSALS, PRESENTED BY AN OFFICIAL POLISH COMMISSION OF THREE WHICH RECENTLY RETURNED FROM A SURVEY OF MADAGASCAR, WERE BASED UPON AN OFFER OF THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT TO PERMIT LIMITED JEWISH COLONIZATION OF CERTAIN OF ITS COLONIAL POSSESSIONS. ACCORDING TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT, M. MOUTET STRESSED HIS EAGERNESS TO HELP THE SCHEME.
