Poland’s foreign minister gave Israel’s chief Ashkenazi rabbi, Yisrael Meir Lau, a Torah hidden during World War II by a Polish family. During his visit to Israel, Wladyslaw Bartoszewski is also scheduled to meet with Israeli President Moshe Katsav, Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg and Cabinet minister Shimon Peres.
