Christian witnesses testified in District Court yesterday that the Jews instigated disorders in the town of Przytyk on March 9 in which three persons were killed and scores injured. Fourteen Jews and 43 Poles are being tried on charges arising from the disturbances.
Witnesses for the Polish defendants stated that before March 9 Jews of Przytyk had said, “We will end your boycott on March 9.”
The presiding justice ruled out of order a question by a Nationalist attorney whether the peasants had enough food. The lawyer said he wished to bring out that what had happened in Przytyk was not a pogrom but an economic struggle for the Polonization of trade.
