A group of former Polish resistance fighters, who risked their own lives during the Nazi occupation to help Jews, has been honored by the Yad Vashem, the Israeli center for the documentation of the Nazi holocaust, it was reported here from Warsaw. An Israeli Embassy official in the Polish capital said that more than 70 percent of the 170 awards made by Yad Vashem were given to Poles.
