Poles Negotiate with American for Lease of Liquor Monopoly

For years Jewish Daily Bulletin readers have turned to us for various types of information.

The Polish government is negotiating with an American Jewish financier, Joseph Reisfeld, now in Poland, for the lease of the government monopoly on spirituous liquors, from which Jews have been ousted, the Polish press reported today.

According to Polish papers, the negotiations are based on two conditions, that Reisfeld, who is said to be “a great American financier,” should grant the Polish government a large loan and also that he guarantee a large export of Polish alcohol to the United States.
